Welcome to Gulmarg — the "Meadow of Flowers" — perched at 2,650 metres in the Pir Panjal range of the Western Himalayas. Our Gulmarg Snow Adventure is a 3-day adrenaline-fuelled getaway built around one of India's most iconic alpine destinations. Whether you visit in the depths of winter for world-class skiing or in the warmth of summer for rolling green meadows and wildflower trails, Gulmarg delivers an experience unlike anything else in Kashmir.
The centrepiece of this tour is the Gulmarg Gondola — one of the highest cable car systems in the world. Phase 1 carries you from the base to Kongdori at 2,690 metres, offering sweeping panoramic views of the Pir Panjal range. Phase 2 ascends further to the summit of Apharwat Peak at 3,979 metres, where you are surrounded by a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of snow-capped Himalayan peaks stretching as far as Nanga Parbat on clear days. In winter (December–March), the Apharwat slopes become India's premier skiing destination, managed by J&K Tourism, with runs suitable for beginners and seasoned skiers alike.
Beyond the gondola and the ski slopes, Gulmarg offers a surprising range of experiences. Strawberry Valley is a gentle meadow walk through wildflowers in spring and fresh snow in winter — a photographer's dream. The Gulmarg Golf Course, originally laid out by the British in 1911, is one of the highest golf courses in the world and makes for a stunning afternoon stroll even if you don't play. The quaint St. Mary's Church and the local village provide a glimpse into the quieter, unhurried side of mountain life. This tour package is ideal for adventure seekers, couples looking for something different, and anyone who wants to experience the raw, exhilarating power of the Himalayas up close.
Gulmarg is spectacular in every season, each offering a completely different experience. December–February is peak winter with heavy snowfall and temperatures ranging from -5 to 5°C — this is when Gulmarg transforms into India's best skiing destination. March–May brings the snow melt alongside bursts of wildflowers and warming temperatures. June–August is lush, green, and pleasant (15–25°C) — perfect for gondola rides, meadow walks, and golf. September–November is autumn, when the surrounding forests turn golden and the air becomes crisp, offering incredible photography opportunities.
